Agni Purana is considered as the ब्रह्मरूप, which contains both ब्रह्म and विद्या. The Param Pavitrā Agnipurān is provider of the health and wealth to seeker, the destroyer of nightmares and the best means to attain Mokshā from this Sāmsarik Bandhan.

It is elaborated with Fifteen thousand verses in Mrityūlok and in one billion verses in Dēvlok. This Purana contains the Parā (परम अक्षरतत्व) and Aparā (Vedavidyā, Shri Hari Vishnu’s glory, world creation, Chhānd, Sikshā, Vyākaran, निघण्टु (kosha), Jyotish, निरुक्त, Dharmashastrā Mimānsha etc., Details of NyāyaShāshtra, Ayurveda, Puranic knowledge, Dhanur Vedā, Gandharvavedā, Arthashāstra, Vedānta, and Srihari Vishnu Tattva) both are Described

In addition, the description of the ten incarnations of Narayana, a brief explanation of all the Parvā’s of the Mahabharata, a brief explanation of the Ramayana, Geetasāra, Yama Geeta, Reflections of nine types of creation, Vaishnava – Anthem of worship, Ishwar Sthāpana and its worship method, Method of sanctification, description of Temple and Ishwarā Murti’s signs etc., it mentions Mokshā Dāyak mantras.

Shaiva – Agam, Shakta – Agam, Suryā Agam, Mandal, Vastu, Brahmānd – Mandal, Bhuvan Kosh and many types of Mantrās are described in this Purana beautifully. It mentions about द्वीप, वर्ष rivers and the glory of Ganga and Prayag Tirthā etc., It mentions about Rājdharmā, Dān Dharmā and gives the description of various types व्रत नियम.

It mentions about Varna and Ashram and also the description of Suryāvansha and Somāvansha. Here the representation of Vedanta, Brahman wisdom, Ashtanga yoga and the सप्रपच्श्र and निष्प्रपच्श्र form of ब्रह्म is described.

The Presence of Agni Purāna, purify the place and make it free from all kinds of defects.

By reciting it regularly…

• A Brahmin would be Vedaveta,
• A Kshatriya would be the king of the earth,
• Vaishya would get wealth and,
• Shudra would become Niroga.

Importance of reciting Agni Purana In Different Seasons and their Shubh Yajnā Phalā :

• In हेमंत ऋतु – अग्निष्टोम Yajnā,
• In शिशिर ऋतु- पुण्डरीक Yajnā,
• In बसंत ऋतु – अश्वमेघ Yajnā,
• In ग्रीष्म ऋतु- वाजपेय Yajnā,
• In वर्षा ऋतु- राजसूय Yajnā and,
• In शरद ऋतु-the phāla of donating one thousand Cow.

According to Padma Purana which describes that eighteen Purānas are said to be the 18 Parts of Shri Hari Vishnu, mentions that the ‘Agni Purana’ has been called the left leg of Bhagwān Vishnu.

Whoever sits in front of Srihari Vishnu and recites the Agni Purana with full devotion, means that the man worships Shrihari through the Gyanyajnā.

One who listen the shlokās of this purana gets the phalā of the तिल-सुवर्ण Daan and the one who recites a whole chapter will definitely get the phalā of Gau Daan. The phalā which is obtained by donating hundred Kapila cows in the वृद्ध-पुष्कर तीर्थ, the same phalā can get by reciting the Agni Purana, it is said that whoever writes this Purana and donates it to the Brahmins, he Resides in Brahma lok and hundred generations of their Kulā gets deliverance.

Listening or reciting it, reading or teaching, writing and worshiping, it always fulfills the ultimate purity to your atmān and complete your all desire in every way.
